Back in 1999 P-CED now a profit for purpose business in the UK began work in Russia. The opportunirty arose on the back of a paper describing a profit for purpose business paradigm which he'd delivered as a researcher on the Clinton re-election committee.
The result eas the Tomsk initiative an microfinance bank, a project which leverage $6 million investment and returned 10,000 small businesses. in 2001 it was replicated in Tblisi Georgia.
These were ultimately profit for peace objectives, taking the concept of enlightened self-interest to communities at risk. and in 2002, we'd identified an Islamic community who were in such a position in the repatriated Tatars of Crimea.
It is generally recognised that the greatest threat to this people of the Crimen peninsular was to be used as an excuse for annexation of Crimea and our aim was to leverage their economic empowerment to diminish the possiblity of their taking to violen confrontation.
Here you'll find an interview between founder Terry Hallman and the leader of the Crimean Tatar diaspora in Washington.

As of a few days ago, we've seen the explosion of violent confrontation between Russia and Georgia with many now recognising Ukraine as a possible next target.
Over the past 4 years, since that interview we've been engaged as a business now registered in the UK rendering our profit to the development of Ukraine in a national context, with the production of a 'Marshall Plan' strategy delivered to government in Oct 2006.

Could it be time to accelerate these efforts with some support from others who endorse the profit for purpose paradigm, where the purpose is peace,
