You Deserve a Break Today

| posted by Heath Row

In the May issue of MacWorld, I read an item about a nifty little application called MacBreakZ. The program is a stretching utility that prompts you to take regular rest breaks, perform simple exercises, and otherwise make sure you don't just sit at your desk all day long. Has anyone ever used one of these kinds of programs? Useful? Useless? Share your stories here.

Using such a program can make a great sense for people that tend to get so excited / overwhelmed with their activities that loose sense of time. Myself I try to make a small, 2-3 minute break every hour of desk job, stretch a little and focus my sight on a distant object to relax eye muscles. In the end I do a small mind focusing excercise, simply by closing my eyes and counting from 1 to 100 concentrating strongly on the numbers counted. I hope this can help anyone improve their performance at work!
