Now, with White Castle auctioning off its butler and Ask Jeeves dropping its hired hand entirely, I can't help but wonder what's behind this rash of firings. What, afraid the hired help will tell stories out of school?

Jillian MulvihillI, for one, have no interest in listening to Jack Radio. The only reason I listened to any radio besides NPR was to hear the oldies--and the disc jockeys--on WCBS. Now I don't even listen to that.
