One of the partners who owns our company, Mitch Joel, has an excellent Blog, www.twistimage.com/blog. I like it because it's not all about Twist Image but it really shows how "Fast Company" we think and how much of a difference he/we are trying to make.
My company publishes a blog focusing on the topics of advertising, marketing, market research and customer experience (the four areas in which my company has the most expertise). We try to make it mostly a resource to those interested in such topics and not a sales pitch for us and what we do and because of that, response over the last 1.5 years has been quite favorable.
I just started a blog called Adventures in Small Business. Currently, my blog is a collection point for interesting articles I read on a daily basis relating to small businesses and business ideas.

We use our blog (Swimblog) as a way of collecting our thought on topics that concern us (Innovation and New Product Development). There are three main benefits: 1. The act of writing forces us to structure and analyse our own ideas clearly, 2. The blog provides a useful conduit for collecting and building on ideas from external sources. 3. It can serve as a marketing tool to convey what we do in more dynamic way than ordinary web pages or physical brochures are able to.

As a business consultant, I often get calls from small companies and individuals asking for advice and inquiring about consulting services. Most of these entrepreneurs or small businesses cant afford a consultant.
I wanted to find a way to help them out.
Earlier this month I started a blog off my own personal website. http://www.dlorenzo.com (click on the Daves Blog button).
There are no ads or solicitations - just my thoughts and experiences.
My goal is to offer relevant advice in my areas of expertise to everyone. I also try to point out interesting and informative links to other content. In the past couple of weeks I have received a good amount of e-mail thanking me and encouraging me to continue posting and post more often (I post once a day).
This has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career.
