Preferred Coworkers
Fancy this: "An overwhelming majority of people would rather work with a less-skilled but likeable person than a more-competent jerk."
Talent & Careers Resource Center contributors Beverly Kaye and Sharon Jordan-Evans recently considered what it means to be a jerk at work. And Alan Deutschman took a look at psychopathic leaders.
Who would you rather work with? Take the Fast Company poll.

I could not agree more with this. It is rather funny that I am reading this post this very morning. I am in such a predicament. The incompetent jerk in my work life returns to work today after a long holiday and that is all I can think about this morning. While he was gone, I had the strange pleasure of working with an incompetent likable dummy. But that entire time, I realized that while this woman was as dumb as a board, I would rather her around than him. If I had to chose, the jerk would not be back. I would take dummy over him anytime. :)
